Village Hall Page
The present hall was built in 1996 after many years of fund raising by the then Village Hall Committee. It is a modern purpose-built structure of brick and tile materials, with all the facilities one would expect of a public building. It conforms to present day regulations in terms of public safety and comfort. It is licensed for public performances, singing and dancing and for private functions but NOT FOR THE SALE OF ALCOHOL.
It is used for all types of public and private functions and events from dinners to dances, schools to seminars. Brief details of its facilities include:
A large “Concert Room” with a capacity of 240 persons
A “Committee Room” with a capacity of 60 persons
A public car park with disabled space
Adequate toilets
Full disabled access and disabled toilets
A fully-equipped kitchen for approved for food preparation with electric cooker, microwave, washing-up and cleaning equipment
Sufficient seating to accommodate up to 100 covers for dining, including all tableware
A curtained stage area with facilities for sound reproduction and lighting
A loop system for the hearing impaired
A hot air central heating system

MANAGEMENT
Management Committee
The Constitution allows for a management committee
including representative members of village organisations and also village representatives.
The committee meets on the third Tuesday of every month, with this year’s AGM being
held at the April meeting.
