Wheatley village (a combination of North and South) is a pleasant village in North
Nottinghamshire. It is situated midway between Retford and Gainsborough on the A620.
Originally a typical farming community it has a pleasing mix of properties and a
some businesses. It has a church, chapel, pub, three shops, village hall & lots of
amenities for its population of approximately 650 people. The village is famous for
its strawberries and other soft fruits.
This site has been created and sponsored by Wheatley Parish Council for the use of
all interested parties and for village residents in particular.
